Our Start
In 2019, Jeff Hawkins had the harebrained idea to combine a Secret Santa gift exchange with a white elephant in order to participate in the Christmas spirit of giving while still being a cheapskate.
Good cards cost good money, so the idea of Klandestine Krampus was born! This is a gift exchange that seeks to enjoy the fun and silliness of Magic while avoiding sane strategies and format staples (and their price tags).
Jason Proulx was generous enough to host the first event in his late collectibles business, Dark Prime (may it rest in peace), Jeff wrote a truly ridiculous parody of the Night Before Christmas explaining the event, and we all brought a bunch of food. It was awesome.
